The hotel offers 3 function rooms for up to 104 people. These rooms are decorated in an African style and can be used for a wide variety of events and parties. Modern conference technology is provided.

Food & Beverage

In the Zambesi restaurant you will be offered a selection of traditional African dishes with an international touch. Savour the fresh aromas as your food is being prepared in the traditional clay oven. Children will appreciate their own special buffet in this family-friendly restaurant and there are even sitting areas for small groups or family gatherings.

The Lounge-Bar-Restaurant Bantu offers a range of exquisite meals and wines from South Africa. This round building with a thatched roof is similar to an African lodge, and provides a great view of the restaurant and exotic African gardens.

A central feature of the hotel is the Jafari bar with its open fireplace and direct access to the African gardens. Here you can relax amongst the tropical plants, fire and water.

Area Information

The Hotel Matamba is situated directly at the Phantasialand theme park making it a perfect base for a holiday full of fun and action for the whole family. The park is open for the summer season from 04 April – 01 November. Please check the park website for opening times, the winter season dates, and prices.

As well as the park, the surrounding region has a lot to offer. Visit the lovely Rheintal valley or the nearby cities of Cologne (about 20 km) and Bonn (about 30 km).

The direct connection to the A555 and A553 motorways and the nearby Köln/Bonn airport, make for easy travelling.
