Hotel Information

Built in 1910, the Waldhaus Langenbrahm used to be the residence of the coal mine director. In 1993, the villa was completely renovated and adapted to the requirements of the contemporary hotel business. All original dormer windows and bay shapes were carefully preserved. A modern annexe was constructed and linked to the original building.

Room Information

The hotel offers 8 single rooms and 22 double rooms, all of which feature high quality black pearwood furnishings created by the same internationally renowned experts responsible for the wooden fittings within Dresden's Semper Opera House. No two rooms are the same, each possessing an individual character. All rooms feature the same amenities and level of comfort, however.

In the evenings you can relax at our hotel bar. An exclusive selection of wines, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available.

The aroma of freshly made coffee, warm bread rolls and croissants drift through the air: After a refreshing night's sleep, start your day the right way with our comprehensive breakfast buffet.

Area Information

Our hotel lies in the midst of a forested area in Essen's green south. Shopping streets and malls can be found in the immediate vicinity. A golf course and tennis courts can be found just a few minutes away, while a jogging path begins right outside the hotel. The exhibition grounds, the Aalto-Theater, the Folkwang-Museum, the Villa Hügel, the Gruga ("Ruhr Area Gardening Exhibition") and the lake Baldeneysee can all be reached by car in 5-10 minutes.
